Brief details:

This qualification is designed for learners who want to develop their knowledge and understanding of the principles of IT and global information systems. It is not just about being able to use computers. Students will learn to be able to develop applications, use IT as a tool to analyse data, information systems and consider wider reaching global issues such as IT security.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification or any specific prior learning requirements. An initial assessment will take place to ensure the learner is capable of reaching the required standards.

This course is assessed through coursework assignments (50%) and examinations (50%).
