Information Technology Cambridge Technical Introductory Diploma
This qualification is designed for learners who want to develop their knowledge and understanding of the principles of IT and global information systems. It is not just about being able to use computers. Students will learn to be able to develop applications, use IT as a tool to analyse data, information systems and consider wider reaching global issues such as IT security.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification or any specific prior learning requirements. An initial assessment will take place to ensure the learner is capable of reaching the required standards.

- Unit 2: Global information
- Unit 3: App design
- Unit 4: Social media and digital marketing
- Unit 5: Web design and prototyping

Course Assessment details:
This course is assessed through coursework assignments (50%) and examinations (50%).
Progression and career opportunities:
Achievement of this qualification can support progression to enter an apprenticeship, move directly into employment, or study relevant IT degrees in a higher education institution, for example, computing and IT, computer science, software development, software engineering, ICT and computer networks or business information systems.
