Corrie star visits A Level Theatre Studies
Mr Anderson and Mrs Brady welcomed back former student Sydney Martin, who is currently playing Betsy on Coronation Street!
Sydney spoke with the current Year 12 Theatre Studies group and answered their questions about how to go from A Level to national TV.

It was our annual Photo Day this week, and students lined up with big smiles ready to capture a photo that will be looked back on for years to come.
Blackpool trip
Year 8 and 10 headed out on their rewards trip this week.
The two groups went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach for the day, enjoying the rides, the arcades, and a few snacks along the way!
We’re thrilled that the day was a success, and we can’t wait to hear all about the second trip on Monday and also the Blackpool Zoo trip for those who don’t fancy rides.
International Day of Languages
The 26th of September is the European Day of Languages.
“Languages unite!” is the motto, and the day celebrates inclusion, intercultural understanding, and the power of bridging cultural divides.
In language classes next week, students will be playing a game where they guess which teacher speaks what language or lived in a different country.
Microclimates
Geography classes have been leaving the classroom to conduct microclimate surveys, measuring local weather differences such as temperature, wind speed, and humidity around the school site.
The groups used anemometers to measure the wind and recorded their findings.
An unusual lesson, but it provided a great insight into the diverse career paths available with Geography.
