Homework also has a key role to play in ensuring every student reaches their full potential. It supports, extends, and consolidates the work covered in lessons, while encouraging independent learning and time management skills. We think carefully about the transition from primary school and the expectations and structure of our

Moving from primary to secondary school can be a daunting prospect for children and for their parents. We place significant emphasis on our transition arrangements and have forged excellent links with our partner primary schools to ensure we make the appropriate arrangements for your child.

Our enhanced Pastoral Care programme in Year 7 is designed to ensure that there is always someone available to listen and offer support on an individual basis. We carefully and thoughtfully structure our first few weeks to allow your child to adapt to secondary school life, making it a smooth and stress-free transition for all.
