Food donations from Haslingden High School benefit the community

CARING staff and students from Haslingden High School are collecting food to supply a community food box in Haslingden.

The school left its first food box collection with the organisers of Haslingden Food Box, which is situated at the end of Ryefield Avenue West.

Organisers wrote to school to say how grateful they were, especially as a lot of the food supplied by the school were essential items that the box was desperately low on. Fresh bakery items and fruit and veg are also donated by supermarkets, along with non-perishables.

The school is continuing to collect food to support the charity.
