In the week commencing 10 February, we will be holding our first ever Wellbeing Week. Our wellbeing committee and school council have been working hard to create an exciting week that will give our students, staff and parents the opportunity to reflect on their health and wellbeing. We will be offering a wide range of activities and strategies that we hope can support students, both now and throughout their adult lives. We have a number of visitors who will be contributing to the week, including a Paralympic Gold medallist, authors, yoga instructors, musicians and university lecturers amongst others. During that week, we will be asking parents to share the wide range of things, large and small, that they do as a family, to best support their child’s health and wellbeing. This could be anything from sitting down for the family meal in the evening, time out walking as a family or the endless ‘parent taxi service’ to and from their favourite leisure activities. We really value your support as parents and we see so many examples of how you go out of your way to create the best environment and opportunities for your children. We look forward to sharing some of these with you during this week.
