Message from Mr Jackson – 15th June

Further to my message from 12 June, I am writing to inform you that Lancashire County Council have revised their guidance and are encouraging schools to open to Year 10 and Year 12 students.  In line with government guidance we intend to bring a maximum of 25% of eligible students back on any one day.  Year 10 students will be taught English, maths and science in the same groups whenever they are in school and Year 12 will have a day in school for each subject they study.  Year 10 will be welcomed back from 22 June and Year 12 from 29 June.

Thank you to the Year 10 parents who have already completed the questionnaire as to whether their child will be attending school next week; we have already had over 150 replies.  My letter asked for this response by Wednesday 17 June and I would greatly appreciate a reply from every parent to enable us to plan for this wider reopening and to provide information to the Department for Education.  The link for this survey is below:

I will write to Year 12 parents later on in the week to outline the arrangements for welcoming these students back into school from 29 June.

Once again, I would like to thank all parents for your support, understanding and patience in helping us manage this extremely difficult situation.
