Letter from Mr Davey, Chair of Governors – 4th June

I hope the letter finds you and your family well in these very difficult times.

The governors are very grateful that Mr Jackson has shared with us his plans to retire at the end of the next academic year, on 31 August 2021. This has supported the governors in planning carefully for the change in leadership of the school and will allow time for a thorough and effective induction for the new appointee.

I am very pleased to inform you that yesterday the governors interviewed for this very important position and we have appointed Russell Clarke as the headteacher designate; he will
take up his new position from next September, in 2021.  In the meantime Mr Clarke will continue in his role as deputy headteacher at Haslingden High School.
