Our super ski team took on the best in the country and came fourth in a recent competition.
At the ESSkiA British Final in Stoke, our team of four found themselves up against several private schools and a grammar school.
The team of Oliver Harwood, Matthew Marriott, Jonathan Calvert and Adam Griffin, earned the place after coming seventh in the two-day National Championships, held at Norwich Dry Ski Slopes.
Jonathan, 15, said: “We all had two runs down the course and the best of the three times counted. I got one of the quickest times down the course.
“The course was a bit easier than the one we had faced in Norwich, but at the start I was nervous but once I got on the course it was all right.
“We were up against some very strong competitors. We will hopefully be back to compete again next year.”
