GEOGRAPHY students got to explore Grasmere in the Lake District on a practical field trip.
The Year 7 Haslingden High School students were learning all about land forms and they also got to test the river flow.
Rose Ingrouille said: “We put a 4m tape next to the river then put a dog biscuit in and timed how long it took to travel the distance to work out how fast the water was going.”
Some of the group went hiking and explored forests while others had a booklet to complete, counted visitors and also saw how glaciers had carved the valleys and formed the land.
