BADMINTON players had lots to celebrate at Haslingden High School as the U14s girls’ team won a Rossendale school competition.
Hannah Wilson, Beau Freeman, Neve Harris-Summers and Lexie Randle made up the winning U14s team.
Hannah, 13, explained: “We went to a competition at All Saints and played teams from BRGS, Fearns and All Saints.
“Beau and I played in singles matches and then we joined with Neve and Lexie to play doubles games.
“In the end, the top two teams, Haslingden High and BRGS, had equal scores as did the losing teams so it went down to points and we won by 20.
“We were surprised that we did so well because we only had three people for the team until just before the competition.”
