High Quality Teaching and Learning

“Pupils’ attitude to their learning, as seen in their work books, are positive. Written work shows pupils are keen to learn and produce work of a good standard.”

The highest standards of Teaching and Learning are at the heart of our successful school. At Haslingden High School and Sixth Form we are committed to providing a wide range of learning opportunities, both in and outside of the classroom, to ensure our students are engaged in their learning and excited by it. They are active participators, not passive recipients.

Relationships between staff and students are the cornerstone of our success. Teachers and students share high expectations and high aspirations; they work together.

Our young learners benefit from highly qualified, dedicated teachers who approach lessons with enthusiasm and humour. One of the many advantages of an 11-18 school is that Year 7 students  are taught by the same subject specialists who teach at ‘A’ Level.
