GYMNAST James Peacock will be representing the North West region in a national competition in November.
Year 9 student James, 13, from Turn Village, said: “I had to do a set routine on pommel, rings, high bar, parallel bars, floor and vault.
“I am best on the rings, probably because I have good upper body strength and I enjoy it.
“I got one of the four places on the team and there are also two reserves.”
James is also an accomplished trampolinist and for the last two years has represented our school in the national schools’ final.
Last year our team won the North West competition and was second in the national final.
