Students at Haslingden High School have once again achieved some excellent GCSE results, even more pleasing given the more difficult nature of the new GCSE examinations in English and maths. We are delighted with our students’ achievements across the board, with 22 students achieving at least one Grade 9 in English or maths, the highest grade possible, which places them amongst the top 3% of students in the country. 87% of students achieved a good pass in English and 77% in maths, with over three quarters of all students achieving a good pass in both. Science results increased by over 20% despite a 5% decrease across the country, with over three times the number of A/A* grades nationally.
