July 2017: Students enjoy tres bon time in France

AROUND 40 students from Year 8 at Haslingden High School enjoyed a fun-filled four days in France.

The school trip to the PGL Centre, near Calais, saw students visiting a theme park, an aquarium and fine tuning their French skills on a town trail.

Alyssa Cole, 12, said: “We had to go into different shops and answer questions on some of the items that they had for sale. We had to write the answer in French and also translate it into English.

“My favourite part was the day we spent at the aquarium. The visit has helped me with lessons because I now understand how French people pronounce their words.”

For Emily Nuttall and Sophie Holt, both 13, the best part of the trip was visiting the theme park.
