AWARDS were handed out to the Sixth Form class of 2015 from Haslingden High School who were described as a ‘fantastic year group’.
Head of Sixth Form, Simon Heaton, went on to say: “Not only did they excel academically, the also made a huge contribution to the overall life of the school, for example in school bands, shows and sports.
“They achieved our highest ever average points per entry score, which is a key government measure of success. They also equaled our best ever percentage A*-A grades at 19 per cent.
“It was great to catch up with the Class of 2015 and find out how their first term at university or start of their working lives had gone.
“With almost 200 attendees, it was the best ever attended awards evening.”
