ACE swimmers from Haslingden High School’s swimming team were runners up in an inter-school gala.
Haslingden Aces competed against Accrington Academy, Ribblesdale and Hollins at Accrington Academy.
Year 9 student Robyn Jones was second in the back stroke race and she was in the medley teams that were second in their races.
Nuala Kearney, Year 9, competed in the 25m, butterfly and was joint first and joined Robyn in both the medley teams.
Nuala said: “I have been swimming since I was three and I train four times a week.”
The school’s swimming club is only in its second year but has already notched up considerable success. It meets weekly at Marl Pits in Rawtenstall.
