Set in 1920s Chicago, a city fuelled by jazz and liquor, we join Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, two feisty broads struggling against circumstance to achieve their ambitions. Against a backdrop of gangsters and corrupt cops, prohibition and ‘girl power’, this classic Ebb & Kander musical includes some of the best known tunes of them all. Whether it’s Velma belting out ‘All That Jazz’ in a seedy speakeasy, the merry murderess of the Cook County Jail with her electrifying rendition of ‘The Cell Block Tango’ or Billy Flynn, smooth talking lawyer extraordinaire blinding the jury with ‘Razzle Dazzle’; we guarantee you a great night full of laughs and suspense. What better way to get into the Christmas spirit?
The show runs from Tuesday 9th December through to Saturday 13th December and will start at 7.30pm in the school theatre. Please note there will be NO performance on Wednesday 10th December due to GCSE Awards Evening.
