WALKING in the footsteps of Jack the Ripper, seeing War Horse and touring Sigmund Freud’s home were just a few of the highlights of the Social Sciences trip to London.
A party of Year 12 and 13 students spent three days in the capital.
Sociology student Philippa Bradburn said: “The Jack the Ripper walking tour was a bit scary but the guide was good fun. It was a bit gruesome in parts.
“We also went to Camden Markets, which I particularly enjoyed, Covent Garden and as I do drama I particularly enjoyed seeing War Horse.”
Psychology student Lauren Bolton said: “We have learnt quite a bit about Freud, especially at AS level, and his ideas and I also got to go into his house and touch the walls where he lived.
“I learned so much more by visiting than I could have by reading a text book.”
It was Lauren’s first trip to London while Philippa had been before when she was much younger.
The trip was led by teachers Mrs Ferris and Miss Delano.
