Senior Citizen’s Christmas Party

PENSIONERS who live near Haslingden High School were served tasty treats at a special Christmas party organised by sixth formers.

Around 50 Year 12 students, led by Head of Food Technology Kate Seig-Hogg, were involved in the party both in preparing the buffet meals and waiting on the VIP guests from local care homes and neighbouring properties.

Years 7 and 8 got involved to make tiffin cake treats for the visitors.

Mrs Seig-Hogg said: “We had around 80 elderly people who live near to school attend and Father Christmas put in a appearance, a raffle was held and students from the Performing Arts faculty sang carols.”
