Learning about life in Germany

TOURING a salt mine and a trip to the spa, courtesy of the Mayor, were just two of the highlights when students spent a week in Bavaria.

Thirty Year 9 and 10 students travelled to Bad Ailing in Germany in October following a successful visit of German students to the UK in May.

The cultural exchange saw students staying with host families and spending time in our partner school as well as visiting many different places including Munich and the Allianz Arena, the home of Bayern Munich.

Head of Modern Languages Mr Kirk said: “We even had some snow whilst we there – the first of the year.

“The trip was a huge success and the students learned a lot about German life from staying with host families.”

Modern Foreign Languages teacher Mrs Connor and teaching assistant Ms Jeffrey also went on the trip.
