A Level History Trip

A-LEVEL history students went on a fact-finding tour of London to help them prepare for their examinations.

Led by History teacher Mrs Pollard, the Year 13 students visited a variety of museums and took in the show Thriller Live.

Head girl Sarah Clapperton said: “We went to the Fusilier Museum at the Tower of London, the National Army Museum and the Florence Nightingale Museum.

“It was useful and really helpful for our coursework, especially the National Army Museum as there is an A-level question on the development of military technologies.”

Mrs Pollard said: “It was an educational trip and really useful for their coursework. We chose those museums because of the relevance and importance of them in helping students to prepare for their forthcoming A-levels. The students particularly enjoyed seeing the displays of the Victoria Crosses.”
