Science Fun

GIFTED and talented pupils from Broadway Primary School enjoyed a range of science activities when they came into our school for the afternoon.
The event was organised and run by Mr Rawlinson and our Sixth Form science club.

Sixth formers led activities where pupils made ice cream using dry ice, saw a colour changing demo of acidic carbon dioxide bubbles, saw fire breathing with icing sugar, ‘set fire’ to sixth formers with methane bubbles and made purple smoke from aluminium and iodine. Then also they experimented with foam to make ‘elephant’s toothpaste’.
